it's christmas in hollywood;;

I'm leaving for Mammoth tomorrow (which is really today), so this may be my last post for like a week. Which is probably nothing new to you guys (if anyone really reads my posts), seeing as I've ditched posting stuff for like months. But either way, merry Christmas! I'll be back before New Years.

Since we're leaving early tomorrow morning (which, like I said, is actually just around 8 hours from now), my brothers and I got to open our Christmas presents early. My older brother got an iTouch, I got an iPod classic, and my younger brother got some cool video games. We were all relatively excited.

Please note that this year has been my worst year for electronic devices. My new cell phone is a piece of shit that's been mauled by my dog, I cannot play The Sims 3 because my computer isn't updated enough, and my iTunes can't handle anything above version 8.2.1.

So anyway, I opened up my iPod box and plugged it into my computer after setting the language. I waited about 5 minutes, then watched as an error sign popped up.

"This iPod cannot be played on this computer because your iTunes is not updated. Please update iTunes to 9.0 using itunes.com."

"Well gee wiz," I thought to myself. "I can't use freaking iTunes version 9.0."

So I went with plan B after crying and screaming at my older brother. I would simply transfer all of my old music using my old iPod onto my brother's computer (which did, in fact, have iTunes 9.0), and then download music off of there. It worked, thankfully.

Also note that within this remarkable amount of time, my younger brother gave me a Halo 3 poster that he had just gotten from our friend Mat but that he didn't really want after all.

So then my iPod was ready. I plugged in my headphones, slipped the ear buds into my ears, and pressed "Shuffle songs."

A song came up, but it didn't play. I pressed pause, then play. Nothing happened.

I clicked the menu button, then chose a specific song. It didn't play. I chose a movie and it didn't play.

After that hour's worth of effort, my freaking iPod didn't even work.

And that is why tomorrow morning, instead of listening to my new iPod and watching the 4 movies and South Park and Spongebob episodes on it, I will be squished between my brothers glaring angrily at the tiny screen of my old (but working) iPod.

On a brighter note, I'm rereading the Lightning Thief series, and I'm perfectly fine with the director/screenplay writer changing Percy's age (though not really Annabeth's hair color), because Logan Lerman is really cute (and so is his best friend Dean Collins :D).
