The designer lineup for the fashion show consisted of the following designers: Bally, Donna Karan, Emilio Pucci, Ermenegildo Zegna (omg hot male models), Escada, John Varvatos, MaxMara, St. John, Tory Burch, and TSE. The proceeds went to a plethora of charities that my group has worked with over the past few years.
The fashion show was staged in the ballroom of the Beverly Wilshire, if you recognize the name (yes, that's in Beverly Hills). My job for the day was to watch over/boss around the child models (since I'm a veteran, of course), and then to sell raffle tickets. The two prizes were a $1000 shopping spree to South Coast Plaza, plus a yearlong valet parking pass, and The Beatles Rock Band for XBOX 360.
I won neither, sadly.
The adult models got to model the designer clothing, while the kids just wore jeans (or denim shorts and skirts) and colorful Vans or Converse (perfect for me, right?). Both groups of models had their hair and makeup done a few hours before the show as I supervised (they offered to do my hair and makeup since I had to be there early xD).
I ate lunch in the ballroom and watched the fashion show around 1 o'clock. My favorite outfits were designed by Tory Burch and Emilio Pucci (although I didn't particularly like the outfits by St. John). The male models were beyond freaking gorgeous, and I swear, I died when the hottest one posed in the back in his suit.
These Tory Burch boots were modeled in the show:
I want them. I really do.
Buy them for my birthday (January 7)? :)
