welcome to august;;

What do you do when...
  • there's only one month left of summer?
  • you have an audition for Fiddler on the Roof on Monday and you so aren't ready?
  • your best friends are in Argentina?
  • you're left alone with just your guitar?
  • the boy you like is in Hawaii, and he gets back after you leave for the east coast?
  • one of your other best friends likes a boy who is leading her on?
  • you're out of that really good conditioner?
  • you're supposed to start drivers ed, and your dad's been yelling at you about it, but you just don't feel like starting?
  • another one of your best friends likes the same boy you like, and she claims that he likes her back, even though you know she says that about every guy and it's never true?
Don't ask me. I don't know.

I had a nightmare last night. At camp a few years ago, I heard this frighteningly realistic scary story that basically causes me to keep my bathroom door closed every night. I won't tell the story.

Last night, I had a realistic dream in which what happened in the scary story happened to me. I remember trying to pull my bathroom door closed, and calling my mom into my room, and she didn't believe me. I remember my toe was sticking out from under the covers, and whatever was in the bathroom spat blood onto me.

When I woke up, my toe was sticking out from under the covers. My hand was still gripping the bathroom door's doorknob. And I was scared. Frightened. Terrified. I was in a haze of cold sweat and eye crusties. I was half asleep.

I don't know what my nightmare means. But I feel like I needed to tell someone. Because when I woke up, I heard noises coming from my bathroom, and my mom walked up to my room to check on me.

Most frightening of all, the time on the clock in my dream was the exact time I woke up.

Relax for a day. Sleep in late, only wear your pjs, buy phish food ice cream (lmao, no idea how i remember that XD), or do whatever to relax. You're probably only having the nightmare because of stress

Seventeen says nightmares are only supposed to help you sort out what your brain is thinking, they're not supposed to be scary.

It's kinda weird that you woke up the exact same time that was in your dream. I think maybe your subconscious mind knew and woke you up.
