If you're a FanFicNet kid, you've probably heard of Welcome to Maddieland. You know, awesome at writing, tons of OBFFs who are also RL BFFS, yadayadayada. My favorite Fanfic, "Maybe It's Time To Come Home," is by her. She's also a blogger. Like, of the insanely amazing variety. Here's her blog, for you Curious Georges.
She's a way better blogger than me, which is pretty easy to accomplish. But she's got the whole "funny anecdote + deep thoughts" equation down. I've been speed-reading her posts. The following "survey" was kinda sorta taken from her page. Dunno if she made it, but I'm crediting her!
READ HER BLOG. NOW. Thank you (:
Ten Things I Wish I Could Say to Ten Different People.
10. You are the most obnoxious person I've ever met. Friends are supposed to be kind to one another, not manipulative and controlling. I swear, one day all of this will come back at you.
9. We seriously need to hang out at Disneyland. I'm serious.
8. I miss the old you. The one who I grew up with, I mean.
7. I wish we'd go back to the type of best friends who emailed every day, looking for updates on each other's lives. I wish maybe you hadn't come back to visit, because now we never talk.
6. You seriously shouldn't like her. She's soooo not right for you.
5. I know you have dreams of me going off to become an engineer/lawyer/inventor/air force guy like you were, but I'm my own person. I'm still just a kid. Give me time to live my life and play music, and then I'll grow up.
4. I actually miss being best friends with you. Why'd you ditch me in sixth grade? Why don't you talk to me during zero?
3. Religion isn't meant to be taught in English class. Get a new hobby.
2. I miss you so much. You were the only person who really got me, even if we only knew each other as little kids. I don't know what happened to you, but I still miss you.
1. We haven't talked in the longest time. And...I miss you. A lot, really. I miss hanging out with you until 2 AM. I miss playing air hockey. I miss racing to the Great Glass Elevator. I miss elevator tag. I miss battling in Guitar Hero 3. I miss talking to you, ranting to you on the phone, comparing you to Calvin & Hobbes, learning everything about you. I miss arguing over the best band ever. I miss the way you grinned at me whenever we both happened to get into the same elevator. I miss having someone to tell everything to, even if you didn't know who I was talking about or why it was important. I never had to explain, either. I miss texting 'til midnight, and discussing the merits of a good video game. All those times we talked, I felt like you were really here with me. For a while, I wasn't the usual unhappy, lonely kid everyone knows me to be. I didn't have to fake a smile every day.
And it scares me to know that I might just like you a little more than I say I do.
Nine Things About Myself.
9. I was sort of a vegetarian (not really) when I was little. Like, I'd cut my meat into a tiny piece, suck the juice out of it, and spit it out. I never ate the meat.

7. I can be really gullible, even if I don't say I am. I know I am, though.
6. I used to dream of being a lawyer. Now I dream of playing the electric guitar in front of a huge crowd.
5. I'm the shortest girl in my group of friends, but I'm also the oldest.
4. I've only been reading The Clique since the seventh grade. I finished the first book in about 2 hours.
2. Have you seen Noah's Tricks on Youtube? I know that kid, really. He's my best friend's little brother, and he hates my guts.
1. I live right near the beach. I have all my life. But I've also gotten to be a pretty good skier. The snow kind, not water-skiing.

One Confession
1. I live in this magicly spectacular land of Sterotypicalness. We live on the beach (or on the cliffs above it, whatever) with a ton of rich people (who wear A&F and Tilly's, not all designer). The boys here are okay...but they have, like, really high expectations of girls. The average girl here is really pretty. So, I'm generally known as "ugly" or "average". Like, I'm not that ugly (I hope?), but I'm not beyond beyond gorgeous. So it makes me feel weird when I meet a guy not from here who sees me as totally pretty, and it brings my self-esteem up a bit. My self-esteem is way too low to be normally, especially because of the guys here.
So no matter what anyone says, I'm soooo not that pretty. I've heard that I'm "okay" or "average" enough to think so :\
